Increasing File System/Volume Size Of JCS File Systems (Doc ID 2506802.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2020

Applies to:

Java Cloud Service - Version N/A to N/A [Release 1.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

It is possible to add block storage to a JCS instance if needed. The documentation on this at https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/iaas/compute-iaas-cloud/stcsg/increasing-size-storage-volume.html says:

Storage limits are described here:

Region TypeStorage Limits
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic You can perform up to 6 add-storage operations. Each time, you can add from 1 to 2048 GB.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure You can run up to 29 add-storage operations. In each operation, you can add capacity in 50-GB multiples up to a max of 2000 GB.

Does this mean that one can only perform 6 operations over the life of the service, or 6 operations concurrently? The documentation seems open to interpretation.

Also, how is it possible to review the history of how many storage operations have been completed?
