Traffic Type Between Oracle Managed DIPC Execution Agent and the Source/Target DB (Doc ID 2507037.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Data Integration Platform Cloud - Version 18.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This knowledge article reflects updated product names. Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC) was formerly known as Autonomous Data Integration Platform Cloud (ADIPC). Data Integration Platform Cloud Classic (DIPC Classic or DIPC-C) was formerly known as Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC). Please see KM <document 2493395.1> for the full list of recently renamed PaaS services.

When using Oracle Managed Data Integration Platform Console (DIPC) with the latest version of execution-Agent for running on DIPC execution tasks, is the traffic from the Agent (that runs on Virtual Machine instance) until the database (target/source) encrypted or not?

NOTE: This is not a question about the traffic between DIPC and the execution Agent, for which it is known to be encrypted (2-way TLS and also OAUTH configured).
