Unable to View the Updated Values for the Product in Admin After Updating Via REST API

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When updating product data by calling the REST API endpoint PUT /ccadmin/v1/products/<product_id> , values for the displayName, brand and description properties were null after the update when viewing the product in the OCC Admin UI, or
when exporting the product.
However, the values appeared populated if the product was retrieved from the REST API.
