Using Apache With MFT Embeded Servers (Doc ID 2510744.1)

Last updated on MAY 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Managed File Transfer Cloud Service - Version 16.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. What are the steps to use Apache webserver as a frontend with Oracle MFT server for both the MFT services and for frontending the MFT embedded servers?

---

2. Is using OCI LBAAS for proxying SFTP / FTP request supported?

---

3. There is a need to use SOACS and MFTCS components in the current solution.

There is no requirement to use a clustered environment, hence no need to use OTD.

If OTD is enabled for SOACS/MFTCS instances, the charges for each OTD instances are almost equal to the SOACS instance which is too high compared to the usage of OTD.

Therefore, the idea is to replace OTD with some other component which can work as a frontend and which can be placed separately in a different subnet so that access to the frontend component is managed separately and independently from the SOACS subnet.

What are the options available to replace OTD in oracle cloud?
