Goal

The scope is to demonstrate a alternative on how to import into OCI DBCS using large dump files
By using the OCI File Storage ,this example may be used to migrate from on-premise to OCI using Data Pump large dump files that cannot be moved to the default volumes.

In this example we used a source as BMDB and target as VMDB both on OCI but the same example may apply for on-premise to OCI

You can connect to a File Storage service file system from any bare metal, virtual machine, or container instance in your Virtual Cloud Network (VCN).
You can also access a file system from outside the VCN using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect and Internet Protocol security (IPSec) virtual private network (VPN).

Prerequisites

++ Mount target
++ Files system
++ Configuring VCN Security List Rules for File Storage
++ Export dump files created on target.
