Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The customer has configured resources at a Location with Priority numbers 1,2 and 3. The lower the number, the higher the priority. The customer referred to the following from OTM Help:

Enter a Preference Level. The highest preference level is 0 (zero) and will be considered first. Resources with a higher preference level are considered before
ones with a lower preference level, despite availability of time slots. For example, you have two resources. The first has an available time slot at 2 PM and has
a preference level of zero. The second has an available time slot at 9 AM, and has a preference level of one. Both resources slots are considered feasible
appointment options for a shipment. For a valid appointment, the first resource would be chosen over the second, despite the later time slot, because it had a
higher preference level.

The customer planned three shipments to the Location and despite the fact that the Appointment Schedule had many slots available for the Priority 1 Resource, the first was scheduled with the Priority 1 Resource, the second was planned to the #2 Priority Resource and third shipment was planned to the #3 priority resource.

The Customer's Expectation is that all three should have been scheduled with the #1 resource as there were many open slots through the day.
