Directory Search Error When Using Custom Employee Role (Doc ID 2516993.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to search for an employee in the Directory using a custom employee role, the following error occurs.

ERROR

An application has error occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident

The log files show the error as:
DFW-99998 [java.lang.NumberFormatException][oracle.apps.hcm.workforceDirectory.core.publicUi.bean.DirectoryResultsBean.personLovValueChange][ORA_HCM_UIAPP]

Caused by: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.NumberFormatException:
at org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.taglib.util.MethodExpressionMethodBinding.invoke(MethodExpressionMethodBinding.java:67)

Caused by: java.lang.NumberFormatException:
at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(FloatingDecimal.java:1250)
at java.lang.Double.valueOf(Double.java:504)
at java.lang.Double.(Double.java:597)
at oracle.apps.hcm.workforceDirectory.core.publicUi.bean.DirectoryResultsBean.personLovValueChange(DirectoryResultsBean.java:811)


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Use seeded employee role to search directory. No issue.
2. Use custom employee role to search directory. Receive error.
