Incorrect Order Date On Order Confirmation (Doc ID 2524067.1)

For items that were already added in the cart on some date but then the order was placed on a different date, the order confirmation displays the ordered date as the one on which the items were added to the cart, i.e. the creation date of the order and not the date on which the order was actually submitted.

The above occurs due to the order confirmation out-of-the-box widget code in which it considers the creation date of order. So it seems that OCC creates an order object when an item is added to the cart and takes that as the creation date for order.

How can this be corrected so that the submitted date is displayed in the order confirmation?
