Edit Opportunity > Account Field Actually Shows Contact Records Not Account Records (Doc ID 2527248.1)

On the Edit Opportunity UI, for some opportunity records, in the Account field, when search in its drop down, instead of account records,

contact records are being shown. That means, instead of going for search criteria of account, it is going in search criteria of contact
When deleted the record and tried to put again, it is again going to contact instead of account

This had happened with 50 cases approximately. Because of this, having problems in analytics and account name is showing as blank
