"java.lang.NullPointerException" Error Showing up

While try to correct the manage employment details page, the following error occurs :

ERROR

 "java.lang.NullPointerException"

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Goto Person Management.
2. Query for this Person. Navigate to Manage Employment.
3. Click on Edit > Correct. Choose any action. Press Ok. The issue occurs.

The issue is coming up intermittently
