Symptoms
You've launched Excel and connected to FCCS via Smart View. You select a dimension and launch the Member Selection dialog. Instead of showing all top-level members neatly collapsed, such that you can expand the applicable parents and navigate down to the desired member, a flat list is displayed. There might be a few collapsed parent members above them.
The view is different among non-administrator users. Administrators always see the collapsed hierarchy when the dialog first opens.
