Last updated on SEPTEMBER 14, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A to N/A [Release 1.0]
Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.0 to Oracle Linux 7.6 [Release OL6 to OL7U6]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

After setting up Hyper-V  on an OCI Baremetal instance, Linux Virtual Machines configured on the Hyper-V are not able to get Network connection while the Windows guest do. This Oracle Linux Virtual Machine was using OL7 with  UEK kernel.

When checking for network connections this is not showing anything, hence Virtual guest can not even reach the gateway.
