Goal

The request is to have multiple assignments on two different pay frequencies that would be weekly and mid-monthly payrolls. To make this work, a pay frequency priority has to be selected in order to process the employee through the payroll. However the problem with this is that the PAYE and National Insurance (NI) thresholds are then determined based on the frequency that has been selected. That is if the weekly option is selected as the priority, then weekly thresholds are applied to both weekly payroll and mid-monthly payroll when calculating PAYE/NI.

The system needs to have the ability to apply weekly thresholds to the weekly payroll and then any remaining allowance is then applied to the monthly payroll, but takes into account the monetary value of the monthly thresholds. It should then apply the relevant percentage to the amount to calculate the statutory deductions.
