Auto Update does not Immediately Update Model-Level Line Attributes in JET UI (Doc ID 2535911.1)

Last updated on MAY 02, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 18 C and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A line-level attribute is set to be updated by an Auto Update BML function based on changes to other line-level attributes. Changes to an attribute on a part line should affect the value of the attribute on the model line. This works as expected in the Legacy UI, but in JET UI, the value does not show correctly immediately upon Auto Update.

The value is set correctly for the transaction, as shown in the transaction XML once the quote is saved, even though it does not display the correct value. The value will be updated to display correctly when the quote is closed and re-opened, or when the line item grid is reloaded because of an interaction with it (sorting a column, adding a filter, etc.).
