Incorrect Country Is Populated In Subscriber Management When Rest API Is Used To Create An Account

On : 19A version, Rest API on Test3 Environment
Not able to see the correct "country" value in Subscriber Management Account Profile when account got create via Rest API. why ?
Here the steps followed reproduce the issue.
1. Create customer using Rest API and pass "country": "USA" is passed in the input Rest API request
2. Check the Rest API response and see it looks fine.
3. Open the Subscriber Management , search for the this new account and see that "Afghanistan" is getting populated.
