Invalid characters for Barcode when Enter Small Cases And Space In Item Prompt

Unable to enter small cases and space in item prompt
There are some item barcodes which has small cases and spaces in it.
When trying to scan such item in RF prompt it throws error "Invalid characters for Barcode"
I have updated the company parameters :
ALLOW_BARCODE_LOWER_CASE to yes
BARCODE_VALID_CHARS to A-Z0-9./,-_\s
but still the error remains same.
Here are the steps.
1. Enter the RF screen "Create LPN".
2. Enter any LPN#.
3. Enter Item barcode for "AAAAAA AAAAA AAAA 25"
4. System throws error - "Invalid characters for Barcode".
