Last updated on MAY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Global Payroll Cloud Service - Version 11.13.19.01.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.13.19.01.0 version, SA - Saudi Arabia Legislation in SaaS environment.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
User has defined Validation Type fast formula (FF) at the element level to validate element entries based on two user defined element input values.
The Fast Formula is not able to recognize the Input Values entered by the user based on which validation should be applied in the fast formula.

However, the fast formula fires when we include system generated input value "Amount" in the FF logic.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The FF validation should have fired.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into Fusion Applications.
2. Define a Fast Formula to thrown an error message based on user defined input values of type text.
3. Navigate to Manage Elements.
4. Attach the fast formula as the Validation Type FF at the Element Level.
5. Navigate to Person Management work area.
Search an employee and go to Manage Element Entries task.
Create a new element entry and enter the values for user defined element input values such that validation in FF fails.
    Save the changes.
6. The validation does not fire.
