Very Slow Performance in P6 Professional (Doc ID 2546239.1)

Symptoms

Performance issues are observed with P6 Professional; the application becomes very slow and unusable. Actions such as refreshing, copying a project, renumbering Activity IDs, etc. cause P6 to freeze for minutes at a time, or indefinitely. While the application is not entirely down/"hung" (after 5+ minutes some actions might complete), it is effectively unusable.

The Cloud Connect managed server logs contains many instances of the following error

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 101
