Unable To Create Shipment Object Business Number Rule for a Specific Format

Symptoms
When trying to create a Business Number Rule to make that Shipment ID sequence in a specific way, this cannot be accomplished.
e.g:
AKM0273
AKM0274
AKM0275
And so on, until it reaches AKM9999, and the change to AKN0000.

And so on, until it reaches AKM9999, and the change to AKN0000.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Business Number Rule of type SHIPMENT_XID, Rule Definition
2. Disable the default shipment xid type BN rule.
3. Create an Order Release, planned on to a shipment and shipment ID series showing as AAA0001, AAB0002, etc.
