Where Used Functionality For A Sub-Component Is Being Reported Incorrectly When Applied To A Change (Doc ID 2548735.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 23, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Product Development Cloud Service - Version 11.13.18.05.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Where Used functionality for a sub-component is being reported incorrectly when the sub-component itself is part of a change.

For example, if after being removed from BOM B in a previous revision sub-component A is being added to BOM B @ Rev 002 in ECO1000AAA, doing a Where Used for sub-component A shows that it's a sub-component of BOM B at its current revision (i.e. Rev 001).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create an ECO
  2. Remove sub-component from BOM via ECO
  3. Add a sub-component to a BOM
  4. Submit the change through the workflow, but do not complete it
  5. View the sub-component and select the Where Used tab
  6. Review All Levels of Where Used and verify issue
