The value for field [DE Name] must be unique Message When Attempting to Update a DE in a BP Record (Doc ID 2551872.1)

Symptoms

On : Unifier Any Version

When attempting to update a data element (DE) in a Business Process (BP) record, the following message is received:  

"The value for field [DE Name] must be unique. There is another record containing the same value for this field"

The value being entered does not exist in the DE in any of the records in the project.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login into Unifier Application
  2. Go to a project where this issue is occurring
  3. Edit an existing BP Record that has this issue, and update the data element to a value that does not exist in any BP Record in that project.
