When attempting to create locations for Ireland,
the following error occurs:
The Eircode is not valid. Enter an Eircode in the correct format. (HRX-1561252)
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
In the Setup and Maintenance work area,
1. user changed the Profile Option Code ORA_HZ_ENABLE_DAAS_LOQATE setting to No (from Manage Administrator Profile Values);
2. imported Ireland geography using Nokia Geography Reference Data (from Manage Geographies);
3. trying to create locations for Ireland;
3. error occurs.
The Eircode (Ireland's postcode system) was validated by the system because it is the one imported from Nokia and that is in the user's geography structure.
Despite this, the system gives the error because the format is not correct. So, why in Nokia is there not a postal code format that is checked by the system?
How can the user have the geography for Ireland and also the postal code in the correct format?
