Item Service V2 Taking A Long Time And Timing Out (Doc ID 2557114.1)

Symptoms

Product version: 11.13.19.01.0

Users are using "Item Service V2" webservice to create and update items from legacy system to SAAS. Web-service is working fine when items are sent in small numbers like 10 or 20. When users sent 500 items, webservice/API is getting timed out and ends in Error in PAAS/Middleware.

Users are sending 120 messages per one minute from legacy system.

So, users are hitting the Item Service V2 twice per second and it is not working as expected.

There is a performance issue with this service that is reported by customer. The service is taking much longer times than expectation for such a smaller batch of items.
