getExtensionServerLogs Returns "General exception during invocation"

Symptoms
Sometimes when call getExtensionServerLogs endpoint to get the SSE logs, it returns following error:
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to the API client.
2. Send a request to the following endpoint: /ccadminx/custom/v1/logs?loggingLevel=debug&format=zip
3. No logs are returned from the extension server and following message ""General exception during invocation"" is received in response.
