Jsonpathset Does Not Set Matching Nodes For Certain Types Of Paths (Doc ID 2563867.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 30, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 19 B and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using jsonpathset, we expect that any nodes returned from jsonpathgetmultiple using the same path, should have their values updated by jsonpathset. However, for certain types of paths, jsonpathset does not update any node values, even though jsonpathgetmultiple returns nodes for the same path.

Specifically, this issues comes up when 2 or more nodes satisfy an expression of the form "$.key[?('value' in @.arrayKey)].keyToSet". For paths of this form, jsonpathgetmultiple returns matching nodes as expected, but jsonpathset does NOT update any nodes and returns an empty array set.
