The drop ship order always shows on time and does not consider the supplier lead time

Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

The customers are transacting a drop ship order in Order Management and performed the Estimate Order Availability. The Availability Status returned as "On Time" (The Request Type is Ship On). Are there lead times that the application/GOP considers when the order is a drop shop. Based on the returned availability details during Estimate Order Availability that it is always on "On Time" which appears that Supplier will be always be able to ship the goods on requested Ship Date.
There are situations that the item is not available at supplier and needs to be made or prepared. How can this lead time be incorporated and considered by GOP when performing Estimate Order Availability
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The supplier Lead time should be considered while giving an estimate Order Availability on the Create Order UI.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create an order manually as drop ship order
2. Add lines on the orders
3. Save.
4. Press the estimate order availability button .
5. See the availability being shown as on time and no estimate given based on the lead time.
BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The user should be able to see the estimate of dropship order availability taking in consideration the supplier lead time.
