Under what Circumstances Are the Different Messages About Terminating an Employee Who Has Reportees Received (eg. (PER-1531481, PER-1531576, PER-1531791) (Doc ID 2569716.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When attempting to terminate an employee, if that employee has reportees, and the options to re-assign those reportees are not chosen, then a Warning or Error Message can be shown in the UI.   The wording of these messages can be different, depending on the circumstances of the termination, and the message level (eg. "Warning" or "Error")  can be different between environments depending on the system settings.

For example:

The manager being terminated has direct reports. Do you want to continue? (PER-1531481)

The manager whose assignment is being ended has direct reports. Do you want to continue (PER-1531576)

You cannot terminate the manager because the manager has direct reports. You must reassign the direct reports before attempting to terminate (PER-1531791)

This article is to explain the difference between the messages.
