Search Configurations Are Lost After An Upgrade Which Resets Back To OOTB Settings (Doc ID 2569828.1)

Symptoms

Products can't be searched by at least one of the properties set to be searchable on their search interface definition.
ie. Products not searchable on storefront by ID.

Performing the following query will retrieve the properties that are set to be searchable

GET <domain>/gsadmin/v1/cloud/searchInterfaces/All

If all the following are true

  1. The property to search by is present in the result of: GET <domain>/gsadmin/v1/cloud/searchInterfaces/All
  2. Searches by the property are unsuccessful in the storefront
  3. A full baseline has been run and 1 - 2 remain true
  4. This problem exists only after, and ever since an upgrade

Then you have likely run into a BUG that is currently being resolved by development.
