Unable to modify Account associated on Opportunity when the Opportunity is copied

ERROR
-----------------------
The error is:
The selected opportunity account is invalid. (MOO-450280)
Cause The account selected or passed in is not valid.
Action Select a valid account to proceed.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


We have custom triggers that  triggers on Opportunity Insert and Update. These trigger make changes to the related Account IDs to the Opportunity. When using the New and Edit functions this trigger executes normally. However when Copying an existing Opportunity and attempting to in the same process edit the Account value the trigger appears to fail.

When you Copy and then Save and Close without editing the Account value the save executes normally. Additionally after the Save and Close finishes if we then edit the copied Opportunity and change the Account value the trigger executes as expected.

Due to this issue, users cannot change the Account in the Copy Opportunity flow
