OCI: How To Backup Database To Cloud Object Storage Using DBCLI (Doc ID 2576589.1)

This topic explains how to backup a database on VM db system to cloud object storage.

On a 1-node DB system, you can use the  database command line interface (dbcli) to back up to Object Storage. This is an alternative to installing the backup module and using RMAN for backups. Note that the dbcli commands are not available for a 2-node RAC DB system.
