Last updated on APRIL 28, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Fusion Order Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.20.01.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
This note describes the steps required to define an Orchestration Process that invokes a Web Service through Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). The OIC integration is built to simulate the receipt of a fulfillment payload and responds with a callback to confirm that the fulfillment line is - Awaiting Shipping. Subsequent fulfillment requests are received to update the fulfillment line status as the fulfillment process is completed in the external application.
The process described is:
1. An order is created.
2. The orchestration process selected will:
2.1. Progress the order to fulfillment.
2.2. Invoke a call to an external application to fulfill the order. This is initiated through OIC.
2.3. The external fulfillment application returns a call back response. This is returned through OIC. The response informs Order Management that the transaction has been received and that the status of this is - Awaiting Shipping.
3. Fulfillment requests are initiated by the external application to update the fulfillment status in the order. These requests may be initiated through OIC or may be submitted using SOAP Services.
