Roles/privileges needed to save import Mappings

We have configured a custom role to assign to some users that need to import Sales Object Records.
We have successfully configured the role and users can access Import Management, Create Import Activity, Map Fields and Submit the import job.

However, users save the Import mapping but when the create a new import activity the mapping is not present in the import mapping field in the Map Fields section.
Also, if users go to manage import activities > Import Objects and Create an Import Mapping it will not get saved and users will not be able to use them in Import activities.
These users cannot see the mappings created by others, e.g. Sales Admins that have out of the box privileges.

We need to know the roles/privileges needed to manage/save import mappings or the following objects:

-Leads
-Accounts
-Contacts
-Opportunities
-Activities
