FA: SCM: OM: How To Change the Language of Error Messages Reported When Invoking a Web Service ? (Doc ID 2581598.1)

Last updated on JULY 08, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Order Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.20.01.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Using the Soap service OrderImportService to create a Sales Order, is it possible to dynamically select or explicitly state the language any messages are displayed in when invoking the WSDL?

Example message returned/soap response is:

An order was not created because no matching row for attribute ProductNumber with the value 111 was found for the source order schedule 2. Check the attribute value, and resubmit the order.

We would like to determine - when invoking the WSDL -  what language the message is returned in.

Here is function we see:

  1. If the authentication username, General Preferences, Default Language = English, then if any error when processing order, the error message is in English.
  2. If the authentication username, General Preferences, Default Language = Spanish, , then if any error when processing order, the error message is in Spanish.
