Error WIS-4440435 Raised While Adding the Output of an Operation as Input in Another Operation of the Same Work Definition (Doc ID 2583122.1)

Is it possible to assign output item (of say first standard operation) as
input item (of second standard operation) in work definition for process
manufacturing ?

The below error thrown on performing the above action:

You cannot assign item XYZ to operation yy because it is already
assigned as an operation output for operation xx (WIS-4440435)
