OMC : Log Analytics Stops Gathering Logs After Log Rotation (Doc ID 2583616.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Management Cloud (OMC) capturing OHS access logs via a log source at <path>/access_log.

Everything was working fine until the log rolled over to access_log.<number>.
A new access_log file was created, but the agent is not getting any of those logs. There is just no more data coming in from that log source.
