In New UI, Renaming Project/Shell Name/Number Fails To Show Alert When a Duplicate Value Exists (Doc ID 2583924.1)

On Unifier : Version 19.4

While using the New User Experience (Standard View or New UI), if a user attempts to rename the Project/Shell Name/Number and another Project/Shell exists with the same name/number no Alert pops up and the details are not updated.

When in Standard View, if a user attempts to change the Project/Shell Name/Number to a value that already exists in another Project/Shell an Alert should pop up notifying them that the value already exists.

An Alert indicating that the Project/Shell Name/Number already exists does pop up when in Classic View (old UI).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Sign into Unifier
  2. Navigate to the applicable Project/Shell workspace
  3. In the upper right hand corner, click on the three dots and select Details
  4. Modify the properties accordingly and click on the Save button
  5. The form closes but no values have been modified

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot receive error/alert when there is duplicate name.
