Symptoms
When attempting Input Interface, the following error occurs:

"Error reading xls file 'latin-1' codec can't encode character u'\u2013' in position 75: ordinal not in range(256)"
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Oracle Warehouse on Cloud.
2. Navigation Path: UI - Input Interface.
3. Click on Upload File.
4. Click Upload.
5. Click Run Interface.
6. System displays error message: "load_stage data failed with error code: 2 Error loading data"
