Goal

The customer wants to import files as part of the Customer Data Import
1. Do they need to collect the external visitor ID with a script implemented in their web page with?
For example, they want to collect the document ID from their web page.
2. Is there a script template for this process ?
3. Visitors ID: the first step is sign a visitor ID as is described in the Maxymiser documentation link below :

a. On the Quick Navigation Widget, go to Site Settings and click External Visitor IDs.
b. The External Visitor IDs page opens.
What do i need to add as "description" ? The example used in the doc only says "external visitor id to use with CRM" but i dont understand the value/impact of this step to the whole process of CDI.
