Deactivated Partner Contact Record Still Available In Owner Field LOV Search Results In Opportunity UI (Doc ID 2593421.1)

Salesrep who has been deactivated in Partner Contact still appear when search owner in Opportunity

Deleted the salesman from the partner contact by using 'x' delete button/ or Deactivate User Account and then Actions > Delete Contact.

But still could find the salesman in Opportunity. What is the way to delete/inactive salesman ?

Steps to reproduce:
a. create new or use existing partner - AOL_PARTNER_001
b. goto Partner Contacts subtab > add new partner > save > create user account > save all changes
first name = CONTACT_003
last name = AOL_PTH_PARTNER_001
email =
save all changes
c. goto Opportunities > Create or edit existing opportunity
d. goto Owner field > search > first name = CONTACT_003 > result shows this user
e. now goto partner - AOL_PARTNER_001 > Partner Contacts subtab >
open details of CONTACT_003 AOL_PTH_PARTNER_001 >
--- Manage User account > deactivate >
--- Actions > Delete Contact
save all changes
f. goto Opportunities > Create or edit existing opportunity > Owner field > search > first name = CONTACT_003 > result still shows this user
