Retry Retro Process is not changing the status of the new events to Complete

Retro process for an employee who has events as completed is marked for retry. After changing an element entry a new event is created having awaiting processing Status. Retry the retro process is not changing the status of the new event even though the retro amount is calculated.
The status of the new event is changed to Complete only after submitting a new retro process.
New created event status should be set as completed after retry
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Process retro for a employee who has events -- event status is complete
2. Mark it for retry--Event is still in complete status
3. Make an element change--New event is created
4. Retry the retro process -- New event's status is still awaiting processing
