Visual Builder: Is it Possible to Authenticate a User with a Third-party System like Active Directory ? (Doc ID 2602772.1)

Goal

There is a portal application built using Visual Builder. Currently, the application authentication access is through IDCS Identity Providers.
But, the plan is to build a custom login page and authenticate the user with a third-party system like Active Directory.

Is it possible to have a custom login page, get user inputs and authenticate the user with a third-party system, without IDCS ?
