Data quality Matching does not work in PD(Product Development)

Data quality message and behavior of the item when it’s one of the Attribute is added to “Matching” functionality to avoid duplicates at system level is different in PD and PIM. It works correctly on PIM but doesn’t work correctly on PD.

Solution Needed: When an Item attribute is added to “Matching” to avoid duplicates at system level, we want the data quality results to pop up to show what is stopping from item creation at PD. It works correctly at PIM side.

Steps to Reproduce the issue:

-Click on “Setup and Maintenance”
-Open “Manage Item Classes” task under “Product Management”
-Open the Class, navigate to “Pages and Attribute Groups” * “Matching”
-On “Matching” sub tab, Click on “Select and Add” icon.
-Attribute group : enter attribute group
-Click on “Search”
-Select attribute and click on “Apply” and “OK”
-Click on “Save and Close” button on item class


-Open “Deploy Item Extensible Flexfields” task
-Enter “Item” in Name field and click on “Search”
-Select the listed row from Search results and click on “Deploy Flexfield”.

-Navigate to Product Development module
-Click on “Create Item” task
-Enter in “Class” field
-Enter Description, Click on “Save and Close”
-Update value for attribute
-Click on “Save and Close”
