A custom object is intermittently visible on navigator and spring board (Doc ID 2608317.1)

Symptoms

A custom object was created and appropriate access was given to the users through a custom role. The object icon was not visible under navigator and home page navigating immediately after login however it was visible temporarily after clicking on Service Request or Contact object. The value of Show on Navigator was set to “EL Expression” with the value set as #{securityContext.userInRole['<custom_role_name>']}  under Navigation Configuration > Pages tab.
