Ampersand Causes Exception With Import DB.XML (Doc ID 2611523.1)

When importing a record that contains an ampersand viaImport DB.XML an exception occurs. For example if Notes = WORKS FOR COMPANY & COMPANY in the CONTACT table.

1) Business Process Automation > Communication Management > Contacts. Create a new contact with data that contains the ampersand. For example Notes = COMPANY & COMPANY

2) Business Process Automation > Data Import/Export > DB.XML Export. Run over the contact record. XML is created.

Export Object Type = Query

SQL Query = select * from contact where contact_gid='XXX.CONTACT_TEST'

Root Name = contact

Include Footprint Columns = N

Large Objects (LOB) as Elements = N

Output Destination = Browser

3) Save to XML editor and make a change.

4) Business Process Automation > Data Import/Export > DB.XML Import. Import the file. "Error DB.XML Exception processing request" is returned.

5) Edit the XML file and remover the ampersand.

6) Repeat step 4 and the file uploads.
