OAC: "Socket Communication Error At Call=SSL_connect" Error While Conneting toa Data Source Using RDC (Doc ID 2612502.1)

Symptoms

You have configured the Remote Data Connector to access an on premise data source as per the instructions on Install the Legacy Remote Data Connector.

The server on which the Remote Data Connector is deployed is configured to use SSL.  However when you try to access the data the following error is displayed:

[nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=SSL_connect: (Number=1) error:14090086:lib(20):func(144):reason(134) [[
[nQSError: 46119] Failed to open HTTP connection to server <hostname> at port 443.
[nQSError: 43119] Query Failed
