How to Translate Custom Extracts in Language Other than English (Doc ID 2613564.1)

Custom Extract based on Oracle Database Items doesn't translate data

We created multiple custom Payroll Process Extracts based on Oracle Database Items with delivery via BI Publisher reports. In English everything is fine. When a user with French language submits the Process the BIP output is still completely English.

1. Data Exchange > Manage Extract Definitions > create an extract
3. Submit the Process Payroll > Checklist > Run Payroll Process or Report
    After completion, check the Process outcome in English, all is fine.
4. Switch User Preferred Language to French (Canadian), submit Process (copy the Process Flow name), the result is still in English.
5. Open the delivery report in BI Publisher, paste the Process Flow name copied in #4 and read the report output. The static data (headings) is translated (as expected from the report's XLIFF file) to French and dynamic data is in English, meaning the Extract Process generated XML that's not translated.


Does the system translate database items? If so, how can this be done?
