In ERP the currency setting is defined with 2 decimal precision and 4 decimals extended precision.
There are 2 areas where we find that extracts from ERP are providing more than 2 decimals:
- When taking excel extracts from Balance inquiry, trial balance, BI reports and extending the number of decimals shown in XLS more than 2 decimals are shown with significance.
- In the out-of-the-box integrations from ERP to EPM (PBCS, FCCS and EPBCS) the data extracted by the integration also includes more than 2 decimals. This is generating rounding differences and preventing to load data in target applications.
It is not clear if the source of the issue in the EPM integrations is related to the fact that exports from BI reports in ERP also show more digits?
These out-of-the-box integrations take the data that is available in the GL Cube. When drawing a report on the GL Cube we see that figures have more than significant 2 decimals.
Looks like the configuration of decimal precision is not applied on the GL Cube why?
