Participant Detail Update Is Not Reflected In Role Assignment Change

Participant detail update is not reflected in role assignment change
we are experiencing an issue with participant role assignment.
We have defined participant assignment rule based on participant detail flexfield that have to assign the incentive compensation role.
This is working fine for a new assignment but we are having issues when the detail gets updated.
On our test case a participant is created with a detail lasting the entire 2019 year.
Later this participant is changing his role, so we are importing on the details the termination for the previous assignment, and later on the following month the initiation of the second role.
After the participant detail import we see the two details record, the old one ending on 31/05/2019 and the new one starting at 01/06/2019.
The assignment rules we have defined use the "Ruolo" flexfield of the participant details that is changed between the two detail records.
The role is guiding the assignment to the compensation plan, so we expected the assignment to the first role and compensation plan to be ended on 31/05/2019 and the new role and compensation plan to be assigned from 01/06/2019.
We tried running participant assignment and also deploy compensation plans but see non changes in compensation plan or role assignment. Also checking the participant role assignment from the participant snapshot work area still displayed only one assignment lasting the entire year 2019
To see the participant details change reflected in the participant assignment we had to manually delete the participant from the previous role (Participant Assignments -> Manage Roles ->select the initial role and then delete the participant assignment).
Only after this manual action the participant assignment and deploy of compensation plans gave us the expected result of the first compensation plan assigned until 31/5 and the second one assigned starting from 1/6.
