Business Process (BP) Sub-Process Auto Sequence Is Not Working As Expected (Doc ID 2623899.1)

Symptoms

After several hundred BPs created with auto sequencing were created, a change was made to the auto-sequencing to a 4 digit numerical "START" beginning with the number 2.
The Next Sub Project Creation keeps the last 3 numerical sequences, and adds a 2 to the thousands place, instead of beginning with the actual numerical number listed in the "START"


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Access as user with permission to create all entities necessary
  2. Create Project that uses sub project
  3. Create Several sub projects against top project
  4. Change the "START" of the Sub project to a numerical 4 digit number. Save and publish change
  5. Create a new sub project

    Result: Notice the auto sequencing does not start at the assigned "Start" number.
