Symptoms

A specialization is assigned to a group of Learners by an initiative.
Needed to update the specialization so end dated the initiative. (That would stop any future assignment of that specialization.)
Updated the specialization by adding a course.

Created a new initiative and assigned the specialization by the new initiative. It was assigned to the same group of Learners.
However, Learners assignments are showing the Due Date of the original initiative.
